2023 PARTNERSHIP HIGHLIGHTS

Supporting entrepreneurial development for women and gender-diverse people • Supported The Forum’s Odlum Brown Forum Pitch which helps fast track access to different types of capital for women entrepreneurs. • Partnered with Women Entrepreneurs of Saskatchewan to support their WESK Connect events, which encourages learning and networking within the business community. • Supported various women empowering events like the Alberta Women Entrepreneurs Awards, Black Canadian Women in Action Embracing Equity and Axis Connect Calgary Influential Women in Business Awards. Supporting microlending • Supported Windmill Microlending, which provides micro-loans for accreditation and training, along with hands-on coaching support to newcomers and immigrants as they transition to life in Canada. • Partnered with Rise Asset Development in support of their core lending program, which distributes micro-loans backed up by business advisory services to empower individuals with mental health and addiction challenges through entrepreneurship. • Supported Momentum’s Local Economy Development program, which provides micro-loans and business planning support for entrepreneurs and early-stage start-ups. Advancing financial literacy • Supported Foundations Learning and Skills Saskatchewan to help marginalized adults maximize their savings and improve their financial literacy. • Renewed our commitment to the Financial Pathways Collaborative through the United Way in Edmonton. In addition to a financial commitment, CWB volunteers provide financial literacy education, including for people with low income. • Supported the Bissell Centre to provide individuals with access to basic financial tools like banking, budgeting and tax filing.
